Privacy Policy

This policy describes how DedicationCard works.

Your dedication stays in the link

Your recipient name, signature, message and selected music link are processed in your browser. This tool does not upload them to a server or save them in a server database.

A dedication link contains those details in the part after the # character, called the URL fragment. That fragment is not included in the browser’s HTTP request to our hosting server. It is not encrypted: anyone with the complete link can read the dedication. The chat or email service you use to share it receives what you choose to send.

Music search sends a request to Apple

When you use the search box, your search terms are sent to Apple’s public iTunes Search API to retrieve songs from its US catalog. Apple receives that request and normal connection information such as your IP address. Your dedication message is not included in the search request. Search results are supplied by Apple.

When you open a music link, you visit the music service. Its own privacy policy and playback requirements apply.

On a dedication page, choosing “Load music player” connects to Spotify or Apple Music to load the selected music. That service receives the music identifier and normal connection information; the dedication message and recipient name are not passed to the player. Its own privacy and playback terms apply.

Hosting and browser storage

Cloudflare hosts this site and may process connection and request information, including IP addresses, requested paths and browser information, to deliver and protect it. DedicationCard has no user accounts or saved dedication history, and does not include advertising trackers. Cloudflare also adds its Web Analytics script to the delivered page to collect site usage and performance information. Your browser may retain browsing history and cached files.

Optional Google Analytics

Updated September 24, 2026. If you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits to our public pages, device/browser categories and engagement. Google receives connection information and processes this data under its own privacy policy. We load no Google Analytics code before your choice.

We exclude dedication pages, strip query strings and fragments from the page address sent to Google, and send no referring URL. We do not send recipient names, signatures, dedication text, music links, search terms or form contents. Advertising features and enhanced measurement are disabled. This also means our visitor reports are incomplete: visitors who decline, block analytics, or only open a dedication are not counted.

Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change it. Declining again stops future analytics and clears this site's Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase previously collected aggregate reports. See Google's privacy policy.

Future advertising

We plan to place third-party advertising on this site in the future. No third-party advertising is currently installed. We will update this policy before introducing it.

Contact emails

If you email us, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards your email to our operator’s QQ Mail inbox. Cloudflare and the receiving email provider process your email address, message and attachments for delivery. We use this correspondence to respond to your request. Do not include private dedication links or sensitive information unless needed for your request.
